GELAN is a bilingual Digital Media Network with an editorial and intellectual vocation: we don't just report, we take positions. Our work in the U.S. centers on two distinct goals.

The first is economic: making the case for deeper investment and partnership between the United States and Latin America, and for the region — Colombia especially — as a serious, practical alternative in a changing global economy.

The second is philosophical: examining what artificial intelligence means for human freedom, rights, and values. Consciousness, meaning, and spirituality are not side notes in the age of AI — they are questions that deserve their own serious treatment, and that any AI model claiming to serve a free society must be built to protect.
